Pujols 5...EXCELLENT!!!

A few months ago my dear friend Amy from www.tightwadmomma.com posted a special on her tightwad website that restaurant.com was having an 80% off sale where you could get $25 gift certificates for $2 each...WOW!!! I clickety, clicked over to here and saw a SLEW of places to choose from...since our nephew works at Pujols 5 and my husband has been wanting to go there, I purchased 4 $25 certificates for a total for $8. I've given 3 of them away as gifts but saved one for us to use...boy am I glad!!! We went tonight and walked right in, they have a lovely place. Larry got a rack of ribs and a soda (the ribs came with a small Caesar salad, fries and coleslaw) I got an 8 oz. Filet Minion and an Arnold Palmer (1/2 tea, 1/2 lemonade) (my Filet came with mashed potatoes, greenbeans & French Onion soup) the biscuits were TOTALLY AWESOME. We both had an EXCELLENT meal and thoroughly enjoyed each others company and our food. With the $25 gift card off of our meal, and tax & tip we paid $33.10 out of pocket...this is a place we will DEFINITELY go to again!!! Thanks Amy for your AWESOME money saving posts!!!

A Little Snow Day Organizing...

It's funny how I don't wake up with a list to "do" these things...they just happen out of the ordinary. Laura over at Org Junkie is hosting 52 weeks of organizing. When she started with the first week I said no way...I can't possibly participate in that this year...well - the people that linked up on week #3 got me enticed to 'organize' and organize I did. When my mom died I got a few of her gadgets...and I have my own gadgets already so I really was running out of "room" for all these gadgets. (the Waffle Maker, George Foreman, Crock Pot, Bread Maker, Toaster, Food Saver, and Blender...yikes - that's alot of gadgets...I have more but they are stored away:) The goal was to get all of these gadgets except the crock pot and toaster stored away. The Run…It’s Done!!!

I was emotional leading up to the event and I really thought it was going to be an emotional day for me but it really wasn’t and that was a great relief! I’m trying to stop my mind thinking that healing needs to look like this or that (that I needed to be all emotional for the healing/past of this event to take place). I feel that God had me run for a reason...I’m still trying to process what that reason is. (Maybe there’ll be a “Run for Raped & Sexually Abused Victims”) Nevertheless, I know that God had me run “For such a time as THIS”!!! Maybe you would continue to pray for me that God would reveal anything He wants to from this, that I’ll hear his voice just as clearly as I did when He told me to “Choose to Run”. The run itself was difficult but good. I marveled at the symbolism of the run compared to my true life event – there were 13 miles to symbolize my 13 years before being raped and .10 miles to run to the police station /the end...13.1 never felt SO good!!! (Freedom!!!)
