A busy week...I can't wait to get some rest!!!

Well - this past week has been an UNBLEIVEABLY busy one for us. It started last Friday night with Larry's niece Lauren's wedding...

We were suppose to go to Relay for Life after Lauren's wedding but we never made it, we had a funeral at 10am Saturday morning for a friends husband - an unfortunate accident really...so sad.

Church Sunday morning, packing and prayer Sunday night and off to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Monday morning to attend a Minister, Leadership & Helps conference.
We had 3 days of classes and much fun...


We came home Thursday night and left Friday morning with Heather to attend another Friday night (never have I heard of a wedding being on a Friday night and we've now attended 2 of them in the last 2 weekends...weird!) wedding in Quincy, IL for our friend Matt Miller from the S.H.A.R.C band.

We topped off the weekend with a day in Hannibal, MO. We had a great time...touring Mark Twains boyhood home, the Museum gallery, the Rockcliffe Mansion, Mark Twain Riverboat cruise, the Mark Twain Cave and finishing off the day...swimming!!!












I look forward to having lunch at Darnell Dam tomorrow and then going home to get some rest from this busy week!!!

Vacuum Canning Marshmallows

A few weeks ago I happened upon a steal of a deal at my local Goodwill...I LOVE it when that happens! I snagged a deal on this handy little guy (in black) picture borrowed from Amazon.com (that I must confess I didn't have the SLIGHTEST idea what to do with until I hit some youtube videos) Got him for $9.95...I know a steal of a deal when I see it! I bought him for the vacuum part not so much the sealing part. I then purchased the jar attachments and hose so I could begin dry canning some goods that have been hanging out in bags for quite some time. It figures tonight would be a full moon...it's a sad, sad day!

I woke up this morning believing that the Lord wanted me to call an aunt of mine and apologize to her for being judgmental toward her...my flesh didn't "WANT" to do that but nevertheless, I did it. It was tough and the conversation wasn't as I had hoped but she "DID" grant me forgiveness. (Thank you Lord!) Heather and I decided to run over and see my uncle who is in the hospital...we got ALL the way over to St. Louis University Hospital and drove through the entire parking garage for 10minutes trying to locate a parking spot. We finally got parked and walked all the way from one of the furthest spots in the garage to the elevators and then across the cross walk to the hospital. Lo-n-behold the receptionist about came unglued when we didn't stop at her desk because apparently, kids are NOT allowed in St. Louis University Hospital...you have to be at least 18 years old...ugh! She told me I was welcome to leave my 10 year old in the lobby (yeah right!) wh...
