Heather and I LOVE horses...she now has her room all decked out in them. She recently had a week of horse camp where she not only learned to ride "bare-back" but also rode bare-back BACKWARDS and found her an AWESOME best friend!!! We usually move every 4 years and this is the FIRST time that we have surpassed that timeline in the SAME house. So what does that mean? Well, I don't think we are moving for a while so I've been having a good time redoing our entryway...I mean if we aren't going to move I might as well redo somethings, right? lol Here's what it looked like before: And here's the after...it's so calming and country looking...I love it!!!

Yesterday was our anniversary (9 years) and I was SO excited to receive EVERY woman's dream...DOROTHY!!! Who or WHAT is Dorothy you ask? She's the BEST thing since sliced bread...she's my new iRobot Roomba . I was giddy as a school girl when I got home from my craft class at Michael's the Arts and Crafts store to see that my wonderful hubby got her for me. How do I know it's a 'she' - because she's mine and I say she is!!! LOL WHAT is she??? She is a robotic vacuum cleaner. My hubby snagged her at Kmart for $75 on clearance. I have now learned there are iRobot's for a variety of things: vacuuming (Roomba), pool cleaning (Verro), floor washing (Scooba), shop sweeping (Dirt Dog) and gutter cleaning (Looj)...how cool is that!?! I took her out of the box, popped in the battery that came with her, plugged her in and WAITED for her to charge up. Thankfully this morning she was all GREEN and ready to go...I unplugged her and took her in the living room, to...

I'm not sure where it has come from since I grew up in the same house for almost 18 years never moving but always LONGING to move. Maybe that's where my love for houses has come from!?! I have a love for houses new and old, historic, log cabins, rustic homes, castles, victorians...I just LOVE houses!!! I often try to think of what my favorite or forever house would be like...would it be large or small, new or old, historic, log cabins, rustic homes, castle or victorian...I still haven't figured it out...I just LOVE houses!!! Since leaving my parents home at 18 years old I have moved 10 times in 21 years and this is the longest time I have been in the same place for more than 4 years. I love our house...it's beautifully decorated and paid for...what more could a girl ask for...except to maybe have the rest of the house finished. I have always loved before and after shots and taking old things and making them "new to you". I have happened upon a couple of new loves lately on the WWW ~ with my two favorites of them being Betterafter and the other one Mod Podge Rocks . Who would have thought all these years I could been taking before and afters of my Modge Podge projects...what a cleaver idea! I'm LOVING all the creativity that's out there and am gleening on new ideas! My uncle died in October and I've landed a few pieces of extra furniture and primer. Thanks to some inspiration at Mod Podge Rocks I decided to try my hand at redoing the dresser...I think it turned out FABULOUSLY...What do you think!?! It's DEFINATELY from Junkie to Spunkie to me! Hi there bloggyland, I hope this new year finds you in prosperity and good health. So far it has been a good year for me and I am thankful for the fresh start. Last year has got to be one of the most trying years that we've had in all areas of our life - health, marriage, financial, challenges with our children, leaving our church of 10 years and starting at a new church, etc. I'm so hoping this new year will be a better one. Thankfully there were no major health issues but we did manage to fork out over $6K in medical bills along with $6K in health insurance premiums...that wasn't fun. God blessed us with a FREE weekend to a "Weekend to Remember" seminar - it was a great time for us to get away and be ministered to and really helped strengthen our marriage for some things that were yet to come in the year that we weren't prepared for.
