BUT with a new year comes a new leaf/resolution to become a better "meal planner". Have no problem asking God and people for help. John 15:5 apart from God, I can do nothing! When someone mistreats you, God will give you a double reward. John 5:30 i can do nothing of myself, etc. Humble people don't want to hurt others. Be careful about how you treat people. A humble person makes peace. Gal 6:2 - means put up with stuff. Humble people don't pressure people to be perfect. A humble person thanks God for their strengths and thanks God for their weaknesses. 2 cor 12:7-9 When we won't forgive or aren't quick to forgive it's a manifestation of pride. Matt 18:23-25 be quick to forgive. Don't go by how you feel, go by what the word says. Pride manifests itself in lofty airs, distancing ourselves from others and often being contemptuous of others. It causes insolent and rude treatment of others and an elevation and lifting up of ourselves. You think u don't need God and u mistreat other people. Wait on God to promote u. When he promotes you, he keeps u. God hates pride. A person with a pride problem almost always talks too much and at the wrong time. Don't brag. Pride goes before destruction. 1Tim3:6 Humble yourself and admit when you are wrong. Judgement and complaining come out of pride. Remind yourself that it's none of your business and that you don't need an opinion on their business. What do you about gifts for your husband’s employees and co-workers??? I make goodies and my daughter and I come and deliver them…it’s so fun! This year I made: 15 bags of Hot Crackers – YUM!!! 10 bags of sugar cookies 5 bags of chocolate covered mixed nuts 10 bags of toffee bark 10 bags of vanilla covered pretzels 10 bags of chocolate covered pretzels And the Directors & Direct Reports got: Oreo Truffles…SUPER YUM!!!

Any of u going through some tough stuff right now or been through some tough stuff that's kind of over but u still don't understand it? We have to learn in our life that there r tests, some of them God allows or permits, some of them he even arranges. Ignoring things is never a solution. God can arrange some of these situations to face an issue in our lives. There are things that satan does that God doesn't deliver u from right away because he's going to use it to bring u to a higher level. He has ur best interest and good in mind, what he wants u to do is to trust Him. He tests us but NEVER tempts us. God never allows more to come on u than u can bare...trust Him! Don't panic...this is ONLY a test. James1:12-14 when we r tested it shows what's REALLY in us. These men have set themselves up as kings and have forgotten they are priests. Some of those areas are in their personal life. 1 peter 2:1-10; 2 sam 8:10-18 Bring a sacrifice of praise, when all hell breaks out in ur life you go before God letting him know you love him, you won't turn from you, etc. Sacrifice your obedience to him, deny self, etc. A king takes for himself, they expect to get what they want when they want it, they do not submit but expect everyone to submit to them, they do not serve but expect everyone to serve them. Have u set urself up as a king instead of living like a priest? 1) do u negotiate with God? (borders in ur life? You can go this far in me but no further, etc) 2) do u negotiate laws of thought or action with God in ur life? (laws of unforgiveness, what will b right or wrong in my life) 3) do u negotiate with God services that are provided? (u give me this, i'll give u that, etc) 4) do u worry about saving face (still have pride) with God? ...

God expects us to believe, not believe and doubt then believe and doubt. John 11:40 only believe and you will see the glory of God. No matter what u r going through, your job is just to BELIEVE that God is working, no matter what you feel like, trust and believe. It may FEEL like nothing is happening but it is. We also need to know God, His character and what to expect from Him. Get in the word and remind God of what His word says. So I'm beginning to start stocking up and planning for tough times in the future (ugh, like NOW!!!:) LOL A few strange things happened today and found me a bit anxious interested in things that could go wrong. Like turning on the faucet and no water coming out...thankfully we DID have water but it was a bit more like a trickle...I don't know WHY or what was up with it. Thankfully, my trust is in the Lord but still I don't want to be one of the 5 virgins who weren't prepared. The FIRST in emergency preparedness (a natural disaster, terror strike, etc) is to have 1 weeks food supply and assume you have NO power. I am finding MANY great tips...

I heard this new song today and it spoke so much to me. It really made me think how much we here on earth walk in “judgment” toward each other. I had Vista on my previous laptop and had TONS of issues with it recently. I had SO many programs on it that I was afraid most of them wouldn’t be compatible with Windows 7 so I didn’t want to upgrade it. My new laptop has Windows 7 and I’m loving it…unfortunately, I was right and many of my scrapbooking, publishing and photo editing software's are NOT compatible with it but I can probably live without some of them…just got to look into getting Photoshop but have Gimp for now. With Windows 7 is a whole package that Windows offers called Windows Live where you can do mail, photo stuff and this cool program that I’m using right now called Windows Live Writer…I’m loving it. It allows me to add a post to my blog from my desktop and then I just hit publish and viola…it’s there – WOO HOO!!! Here’s a snipping tool capture of what I see while typing this up. We just went over to Pere Marquette and spent the night away to go Geocaching. (You can check that out at www.geocaching.com – basically, someone hides a box full of trinket things in the woods, gives you the coordinates and you try to find the box…it’s fun )   We had an ok time – the cabin was neat but it was one of those trips that you wanted to go on to get away but that you kind of knew it was a waste of money and you shouldn’t really be there spending your money like that…yep, it was one of those kinds. We were really suppose to be at the Creation Museum but something told me that we weren’t suppose to go so we did this instead…good thing too since my mother in law broke her hip and had to have a hip replacement during the time we would have been gone. So back to Pere Marquette – There wasn’t really anything to eat around there and we wasted $65 on the all you can eat Sunday brunch buffet – the food was mediocre – none of us can eat enough “all you can eat” to warrant spe...

This past weekend I had a GREAT time visiting with many friends and family. On Friday night 6 of us homeschooling moms were going to go out to celebrate our friend Amy's 40th birthday (she turns 40 3 days before I do this week:) the funny thing is that all of our other friends also decided to have a surprise 40th for me at the same time...we went to the Melting Pot and had a blast!!! Sherry, Amee & Amy Whitney & me (sorry Nan...I don't have any photos with you in them:(         Then on Saturday I was in on a gig to get my friends husband to what I thought was HIS surprise 65th birthday which ended up being MY 40th surprise party put on by my sister, best friend Melinda and best friend Lois. It was AWESOME!!! I'll try to add photos from this a bit later.

Well - it's been a LONG time coming and unfortunately, for some reason I don't have many "BEFORE" office pictures but just know it was a TOTAL mess!!! We were blessed so much with this project - I had envisioned a desk top space all the way around the main part of the room and a search on Craigslist brought that vision to life when we met a liquidator closing out a Linen & Things store. we got 10 2'x4'x24" wood centered melamine pieces & 2 partially rounded edge pieces for $25...WOO HOO!!! Another search on Craigslist brought us to our "New Space" cabinets - thanks to Bruce we received 15 feet of upper cabinets for $150 -a ceiling fan for $30 the paint was about $30 and that was our complete investment other than containers and things to organize stuff in. This makeover has taken quite some time since my hubby started it for me and then had surgery in the middle of it...he was restricted on lifting so we finally ended up getting som...

We hardly ever carry cash so we had to issue an "I Owe you". The note says "Dear ___, I owe you $1, {heart} the Toothfairy". I remember when I was a kid and got a dime or a quarter...the teeth must be worth MUCH more these days! LOL She covered up {heart} the toothfairy because she wouldn't want anyone to think that she still believes...lol

This past weekend we (my daughter and I) spent the weekend in Greenwood, AR with some very dear friends who went to the Girl Within conference with Vicki Courtney . We left on Friday around 9am to pick up my friend Sherry and her daughter. Unfortunately, we hit some road construction down Hwy 44 and spent an hour in traffic before leaving Union, MO. It was ok though...we had a good time visiting with one another. We stopped for lunch at none other than... The girls had a great time shopping and playing checkers (oh, ok...pretending to play checkers for the picture...we had to get on the road!!! LOL) All the construction and my weak bladder potty stops put us so close on time...thankfully we arrived at our Hampton Inn in Fort Smith, AR at 5:30pm. This was one of the nicest Hampton Inn's I have ever seen...so clean and very friendly. The rooms were GREAT and breakfast was SUPER yummy!!! We just spent a week volunteering our time out at the Strong Tower Ranch in Wright City ministering the gospel to children in the area. Our camp week had 98 kids that attended and there were several that gave their lives to Christ. I oversaw the crafts and it was alot of fun.
